Founder & Safeguarding Lead

Coach Cam

7 years in childcare

Cam is passionate about creating a fun, positive and safe environment where every child can thrive.

He’s always loved sport and enjoys sharing that passion with the kids, encouraging them to get active, build confidence and, most importantly, have fun. At heart, Coach Cam is still a big kid himself.

Cam is also the Designated Safeguarding Lead for Essence Sports: the person responsible if anything ever needs raising.

Sports Coach

Coach Asher

10+ years coaching

Asher knows exactly how to bring out the best in young athletes. Passionate about sport, teamwork and helping others grow, they love encouraging players to build their skills, confidence and self-belief.

With a focus on athlete development, Coach Asher is all about helping campers discover what they can do, challenge themselves and, most importantly, have fun along the way.

Whether it’s learning a new skill, trying a new sport or celebrating a great team effort, Ash will be there to cheer our campers on and help them reach their full potential.

Arts & Crafts Specialist

Coach Melanie

20+ years in education and young adult care

Melanie brings a wealth of experience, warmth and enthusiasm to camp. She’s passionate about helping children feel happy, confident and supported, and about creating an environment where everyone can be themselves, try new things and have lots of fun.

Having also worked in a specialist SEN school, Melanie has fantastic experience supporting children with a wide range of individual needs, and understands the importance of making every child feel included and valued.

She loves encouraging curiosity, creativity, communication and confidence, and is always ready to get stuck in, make memories and help our campers have an amazing time.
